BP ANGOLA : Asset Guardian contract awarded to Elite Control Systems Limited.
Following authorization for a set of cluster developments of oil discoveries in Block 31 ultra-deepwater in Angola, the fields Plutao, Saturno, Venus and Marte (PSVM) will be developed using a converted hull Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The vessel has a storage capacity of 1.85 million bbl – making this a truly enormous project.
And Elite Control Systems Limited is proud to announce that BP Angola is implementing Asset Guardian for all its PSVM FPSO software configuration management tasks – at every level.
The FPSO, the first of several, is a massive project involving a converted oil tanker which allows the oil to be produced, stored and exported to trading tankers for onward transportation.
This is a remarkable project, but one in which the accompanying complex software management will be all the easier thanks to the use of the powerful Asset Guardian Version 4, in this high value production environment.
