Asset Guardian V4 is built on proven Client/Server Technology and utilises a SQL Database Server. It uses thin client architecture ensuring performance is maintained over Wide Area Networks and the Internet.
Asset Guardian V4 is a cross platform system that can run on any Java enabled operating system including Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, etc. The Servers and Clients can even be running on different platforms in the same Asset Guardian V4 System. Any Web Browser can also be used to access Asset Guardian V4 which is fully Web Enabled and can operate over a secure connection if desired.
Asset Guardian V4 can connect to any SQL Database Server including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc. Asset Guardian V4 is compatible with Local and Wide Area Networks, VPN connections, Terminal Service users, Citrix users, Web users, PDA users, etc. The minimum system requirements for hosting the Servers and for Client computers depends on the operating systems in use, guidelines are indicated below:
Workstation
