Following discovery of ultra-deepwater oil in Angola, the fields will be explored using a converted hull Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The vessel has a storage capacity of 1.6million bbl – making this a truly enormous project. The FPSO, the second of several, is a massive project involving a converted oil tanker which allows the oil to be refined as it is being transported.
To provide Change Management database that controls, monitor and manages engineering changes on systems post Factor Acceptance Test and after project handover to operations.
The system required to be a web based application, accessible from multiple locations by multiple users providing a standardised, auditable approach to fully document the configuration management process for all configurable systems on the facility through its life cycle. It generates reports to allow project management, design, commissioning, vendor engineers and operations personnel to track changes to configurable systems and gives full visibility of any incomplete changes preventing the safe start-up and operation of facility systems.
- Customise Asset Guardian Version 4 to meet full compliance with above BP requirements, including weekly/monthly CR’s status reporting.
- Provide an initial 11 off Asset Guardian licences, giving access to BP project personnel, contractors and third party vendors from all project locations.
The solution has been adopted by BP as a Global Tool for “Configuration Management of Process Critical Software”.
It has successfully been installed at BP’s ‘European Mega Data Centre’ (EMDC), allowing global access to BP’s operations.
Asset Guardian has received BP Digital Security approval and certification.
